- Rack width and rail type, and how many rack units are free
- For ears or adapters, the device model, its width, height and depth, and where its mounting holes are
- For panels, any cutouts, hole pattern or label text
- Material or color preference and quantity

Use limits
Not for: supporting equipment. Panels fill empty rack spaces only.
